Yes. Both geyser and microwave repairs are carried out at your home across Kolkata. A technician brings the tools and the parts most likely to be needed, so most faults are diagnosed and repaired in a single visit. Only a fault that needs bench work — a control board, for example — would require the appliance to be collected.

My geyser is giving a shock or tripping the MCB. What should I do?

Switch the geyser off at the mains immediately and stop using it. Both symptoms usually mean the heating element has failed to earth, which is an electrical hazard in a wet room rather than an inconvenience. Do not attempt to reset or repair it yourself — call a technician.

Is it worth repairing an old geyser or microwave?

Usually yes, when the failure is a single component and the body is sound — a heating element, thermostat, thermal cut-out, turntable motor or fan. Replacement makes more sense when a geyser tank has corroded and is leaking from the body, or when a microwave cavity has rusted through. We will tell you which applies to your appliance after inspecting it.
